Nine editions of the Open Championship of the Czech Republic in indoor skydiving, shortly Czech Open, have been held in Hurricane Factory Prague so far.

Nine editions of the Open Championship of the Czech Republic in indoor skydiving, shortly Czech Open, have been held in Hurricane Factory Prague so far.

In last years, the event has been attended by around a hundred competitors and dozens of teams, not only from the Czech Republic, but also from neighboring Slovakia, Poland, Austria and Germany, furthermore from Belgium, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden, Great Britain and even Korea, Singapore and Australia.

The racing disciplines usually are:

  • Formation Skydiving 4-Way
  • Vertical Formation Skydiving 4-Way
  • 2-Way Dynamic
  • 4-Way Dynamic
  • Freestyle

In the last years, following unofficial disciplines were also added to the event:

  • #WH Solo Speed Race for flyers with handicaps
  • Solo Speed Race Beginners for beginning flyers
  • Solo Speed (for advanced)

For Czech competitors, the Czech Open is a qualification for the World Championships or the European Championship & the World Cup. Next World Championships will be in Hurricane Factory Tatralandia in Slovakia this April (www.wisc2023.com).
