The IPS Race will be included as the second stage of the 2026 Indoor Para Skydiving World Series as an associated event at the 12th Open Championship of the Czech Republic in indoor skydiving, shortly Czech Open 2026. This event is planned for Friday 16.01. & Saturday 17.01.2026 in Prague.

The event will both award the title of 2026 Handifly Race Czech winner and is also open to competitors of all nationalities with an international ranking that will be established, including all Czech participants.

ALL KINCS OF DISABULITIES ELIGIBLE

To compete on an IPS World Series stage, Athletes must have an Underlying Health Condition that leads to a permanent Eligible Impairment. This eligibility is assessed by the IPS World Series’ Classification Board during the Athlete Evaluation.

Athletes that met eligibility criteria will be assigned an individualized Compensation Coefficient between 0.10 and 1.00 according to an analysis of their Aerodynamic Motor Skills. On each flight, this Coefficient will be used to define their final Score from their raw time on the Race.

HOW TO APPLY FOR ATHLETE EVALUATION?

Before January 5th, 2026: The following Diagnostic Information and Supporting Documents must be sent to Jérôme DAVID (vr4france@hotmail.com or WhatsApp +33 635299542):

• The completed and signed Declaration and consent form for Athlete Evaluation
• One or more video images of the athlete in flight in a wind tunnel, using any Specific Equipment if applicable. These videos must demonstrate either flights during an IPS competition, or the athlete’s ability to fly up, down, forward, and backward, as well as their ability to contact the inner wall of the flight chamber.

Nota Bene: Athletes who previously have already submitted Diagnostic Information and Supporting Documents and been evaluated and whose physical condition or use of eventual Specific Equipment has not changed since, are not requested to mandatory submit new Evaluation items; these items remain optional.
